Denver Set for Matches Against Iowa, Drake

DENVER -

The University of Denver Pioneers (3-1, 1-0) are set to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday, Feb. 16 and preseason Summit League favorite Drake University on Sunday, Feb. 18.

Denver enters this weekend after a 5-2 win against Air Force and a 5-2 loss to Utah last weekend at Life Time Fitness in Denver. Though the first four matches of the season, Pedro Fernandez Del Valle has a 2-0 mark at No. 5 and No. 6 singles while the combination of Jesse Ruder-Hook and Matt Summers has ruled the No. 1 doubles court with a 3-0 record. Mattia Ros holds Denver’s lone victory at No. 1 singles and has paired with Jorge Nunez for a 2-1 record at No. 2 doubles.

Friday’s match is set for 7 p.m. MT. Sunday’s match is scheduled for 11 a.m. MT.
