Pioneers Set for Match Against Weber State

The University of Denver Pioneers (5-5, 2-1) are set to continue their season with a home match on Saturday, March 10 against Weber State.

Denver recently completed a stretch of three matches in four days, emerging with a 2-1 record with victories against Illinois State and No. 43 Utah State.

Mattia Ros (4-5), Jesse Ruder-Hook (3-1) and Pedro Fernandez Del Valle (7-2) enter this weekend having each won two consecutive singles matches. Ros recently improved his record to 4-4 at No. 1 singles, Ruder-Hook has victories at No. 3 and No. 4 singles and Fernandez Del Valle has combined for a 7-1 record on the No. 5 and No. 6 courts.

In doubles play, the tandem of Matt Summers and Ruder-Hook has gone 7-1 in the No. 1 position. Wyatt Lovera and Jorge Nunez are 2-0 at No. 3 doubles.

Denver’s match is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 10 at Life Time Fitness in Centennial, Colo.
