JESSE RUDER-HOOK WINS DENVER CITY OPEN
Rising Senior Also Captured Doubles Title with Fellow Pio Wyatt Lovera

Rising University of Denver senior Jesse Ruder-Hook won the Men’s Open Singles Bracket of the 2017 Denver City Open this past weekend, defeating professional player and Squad Tennis co-founder Dor Amir in the championship match in straight sets by a score of 6-2, 6-3. In the tournament’s semifinals, Ruder-Hook defeated his fellow DU student-athlete Wyatt Lovera by a score of 7-5, 7-6 (2).
Lovera & Ruder-Hook joined forces to win the Men’s Open Doubles Bracket, downing a pair of former ATP pros in 2002 NCAA DIII Champion John Haywood & Colorado Tennis Hall of Fame Member Jeffrey Loehr in the title match. Complete results from the 2017 Denver City Open can be found HERE.
Lovera and Ignatius Castelino will both compete in this coming weekend’s ITA summer event at the University of Missouri-Kansas City while rising sophomores Sean Huynh and Pedro Fernandez Del Valle will both be taking part in an ITA event at Pomona-Pitzer College (CA) from June 24-26.
