2016-17:
Finished third in the NCAA in both FOW (580) and FO% (.626)... One of Denver’s 16 NCHC All-Academic Team members... Finalist for NCHC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award (Award won by Justin Parizek, UNO)… One of six student-athletes to appear in all 44 of Denver's games during run to eighth national title in program history... Set career highs in assists (12) and points (22).

2015-16:
Set career high in goals (11) and tied career high in points (17)... Tallied 5G-2A-7P in first eight games of the season... Named to 2015-16 NCHC Academic All-Conference Team on Feb. 17... Denver went 8-0-1 in games in which he scored a goal.

2014-15:
Recorded 35GP-3G-5A-8P-12PIM in sophomore campaign… Won 46 of his 91 faceoff attempts (50.5%) on the season… Scored first career game-winning goal on 10/18 vs. RPI… Matched career-high with two points (1G-1A) on 11/14 vs. CC… One of Denver’s NCHC-high (among upperclassmen) 17 Academic All-Conference honorees.

2013-14:
Skated in 40 games as a freshman, tallying 5G-12A-17P-25PIM… Tied for fifth on the Pios in +/- with a rating of +5 and finished fourth on DU in faceoff wins with 188... Scored his first collegiate goal on Oct. 18 at the University of Alaska... Registered 1G-3A-4P in six playoff games, helping Denver win the NCHC Championship and earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament… Received NCHC Academic All-Conference recognition for having a cumulative GPA above 3.0.

Before Denver:
Totaled a combined 58 points (33G-25A) with the Lloydminster Bobcats and Olds Grizzlys of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) in 2012-13, ranking eighth in the league in scoring... Tallied 19G-26A-45P with Lloydminster in 2011-12, earning a spot on the AJHL All-Rookie Team… Split 2010-11 season between the Calgary Buffaloes (AMHL) and CBHA Blackhawks (HCMAA).

Personal:
The son of Ed and Mary Marcinew...Has two brothers, Alex and Mac... Attended Central Memorial High School... Chose Denver because of its great academic and hockey tradition... Career goal is to play pro hockey... Hobbies include golf, lacrosse and watching movies... Favorite all-time athletes are Michael Jordan and Steven Stamkos.
