Associate Director of Sports Performance

Gary Boros was promoted to Associate Director of Sports Performance on March 9, 2018 after almost two years working at the University of Denver. 

Gary Boros was named the Assistant Sport Performance Coach in July of 2016. At Denver he will be constructing performance programs for men’s basketball and women’s basketball, women’s soccer, and women’s lacrosse. 

Prior to coming to the University Denver, Boros served as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Bemidji State University for the past three years. While at Bemidji State University Boros oversaw the strength and conditioning programming for men’s and women’s hockey, football, men’s and women’s basketball, and women’s soccer, among other teams.    

Boros has obtained a Master’s degree in Sports Studies from St. Cloud State University during May of 2013. At St. Cloud State University Boros also had the role of a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach where he worked with baseball, softball, and men’s and women’s swimming and diving while also assisting with other teams. 

In addition, Boros completed his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities during the spring of 2011. While at the University of Minnesota he also completed an internship with the Gopher Strength and Conditioning department where he worked under the guidance of Cal Dietz, and Sara Wiley. 

Boros is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.
