Women's Basketball to Face CU-Colorado Springs in Exhibition

DENVER– The University of Denver women’s basketball team will host CU-Colorado Springs this Saturday at 7 p.m. in Hamilton Gymnasium with doors set to open at 5:30. The contest is open to the public, and admission is free.

Pioneer fans will get their first chance to check out this year’s team, led by head coach Jim Turgeon.

Turgeon will start his DU career after a two-year stint with CSU-Pueblo. While with the ThunderWolves, Turgeon earned the highest winning percentage in program history at .843 and went 54-10 while at the helm.

The Mountain Lions went 24-9 and 17-5 in the RMAC, while also making an appearance in the NCAA Division II Tournament last season.
