No. 20 DU Heads South for All-State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship

Feb. 16, 2018

DENVER – The 20th-ranked University of Denver women’s golf team heads to the deep south for its first spring tournament of the 2017-18 season on Sunday. The Pioneers will play in the All-State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship.

The 54-hole tournament will be held at the English Turn Country Club in New Orleans.

Tulane is the host for the three-day event.

Head coach Lindsay Kuhle is going with the lineup of Lauren Whyte, Jessica Dreesbeimdieke, Sophie Newlove, Mary Weinstein and Camille Enright.

DU is coming off an impressive outing against No. 6 Arizona State back on Jan. 28, falling by one stroke to the defending NCAA Champions.

Whyte led the way for the Crimson and Gold, firing a 1-over 73, good for second place.

Live stats for the tournament can be found right HERE.
