GOLFWEEK RANKINGS

DENVER – The University of Denver women’s golf team got a nice boost to its national ranking with its big victory last week at the Golfweek Conference Challenge. The Pioneers jumped from 39th to 28th in the Golfweek weekly rankings.

The 11-spot jump to 28 gives the team the highest ranking it has had since joining the Summit League back in 2013.

The Pioneers took home the team title at the Golfweek Conference Challenge with a 54-hole score of 872 (8-over). Interim head coach Kolton Lapa has been at the helm so far during the fall season while head coach Lindsay Kuhle is away on maternity leave.

DU returns to action this upcoming Friday to play host for the Ron Moore Women’s Intercollegiate. Denver will hold the three-day event on its home course, the Highlands Ranch Golf Club.
