DENVER – The No. 7-ranked University of Denver women’s gymnastics team will compete in the afternoon session of the NCAA Semifinals, set for Friday, April 14, at 11 a.m. MT in St. Louis.

Joining DU in Semifinal I will be fellow Big 12 Conference team and No. 1-ranked Oklahoma, No. 4 Utah, No. 6 UCLA, No. 11 Washington and No. 12 Oregon State. Semifinal II, which begins at 6 p.m. MT, features No. 2 LSU, No. 3 Florida, No. 5 Michigan, No. 8 Alabama, No. 9 Georgia and No. 10 Nebraska.

Denver will begin on beam in the first rotation and will finish on bars in the sixth and final rotation. The NCAA determined the rotation order for the semifinals by blind draw.

The top three teams in each semifinal will advance to the NCAA Super Six on Saturday, April 15, to compete for the national title. Individual national champions and All-Americans will be determined during Friday’s semifinals.

Both semifinals and the Super Six will be televised live. Semifinal I with Denver will air on ESPN2 while Semifinal II and Super Six will be live on ESPNU.

This is the fourth NCAA National Championship appearance in DU program history and the first since 2008. DU also qualified as a team in 2001 and 2007. Including this year, at least one Pioneer gymnast has advanced to NCAA Nationals in each of the last 18 seasons, including reigning floor champion Nina McGee.
