Denver Gymnastics Signs Three for 2018 SeasonPioneers welcome three National Letter of Intent signees for 2017-18

DENVER -- The University of Denver women's gymnastics team will welcome three new student-athletes for the 2017-18 school year, head coach Melissa Kutcher-Rinehart announced Thursday. Lynnzee Brown (Raytown, Mo.), Emily Glynn (Longmont, Colo.) and Mia Sundstrom (Boulder, Colo.) each signed their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday as part of the early signing period. ![]() Lynnzee Brown

"Mia's gymnastics is graceful, light and effortless," Kutcher-Rinehart said. "She has beautiful shapes and also possesses the same high skill level as Lynnzee and Emily." WATCH: Mia Sundstrom Highlight Video DU is coming off a highly successful 2016 campaign that ended with the program's first NCAA individual national champion (Nina McGee on floor exercise). The Pioneers finished the season ranked No. 15 nationally after holding a No. 10 ranking for consecutive weeks in March and qualifying to their 18th consecutive NCAA Regionals. Nine student-athletes return from the 2016 season including seniors Rachel Fielitz (Walden, N.Y.), Leah Lomonte (Katy, Texas) and Julia Ross (Henderson, Nev.). Denver begins its 2017 season at Minnesota on January 7 before hosting its home opener on January 14 against Arizona State, Air Force and Texas Woman's. Fans are invited to join the Pioneers at their annual Crimson and Gold Intrasquad on December 17 for a first-look at the 2017 team.
