Denver Ranked No. 21 in IWLCA Coaches Poll
Pioneers play San Diego State at home Friday and at No. 2 Stony Brook Sunday

DENVER— After receiving votes in the preseason poll, it didn’t take long for the University of Denver women’s lacrosse team to work its way into the top 25.
Coming off of a season opening win against then-ranked 23 Stanford (12-9) and a win on Saturday at Louisville (12-5), the 2-0 Pioneers ranked 21st and earned 137 points in the first regular season IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll released Monday afternoon.
Joining DU in the rankings were several schools that the Pioneers will face this season. The Crimson and Gold travel to New York to face No. 2 Stony Brook this Sunday, BIG EAST opponent Florida (April 21) ranked behind the Seawolves in third, Colorado (March 29) ranked 20th and Virginia Tech (March 7) entered the rankings at 25 after previously not being ranked.
