Pioneers Hold at No. 20 in Cascade Women's Division I Media Poll
Denver earns 43 points in latest poll

DENVER— The Denver women’s lacrosse team (3-1) held steady at 20th in the Inside Lacrosse Cascade Women’s Division I Media Poll released Monday.
Stony Brook earned the No. 1 ranking, receiving 21 first-place votes and 477 points in the poll, while Florida fell to sixth with 364 points. Virginia Tech, Denver’s next opponent, moved into the rankings at 17 with a 3-2 record and 85 points.
Pioneer opponents Colorado, Louisville and Vanderbilt were receiving votes, meaning six opponents on the Crimson and Gold’s schedule were either ranked or receiving votes.
No. 20 Denver faces No. 17 Virginia Tech at home on March 7 at noon. Admission is free.
