March 5, 2018
The Pioneers received 163 total points, a 40-point increase from last week’s total of 123 total points.
Stony Brook maintained the top spot this week, earning all but one first-place vote and 622 points. BIG EAST opponent Florida (Pioneers play the Gators April 21) improved one spot into third with 569 points, Colorado (March 29) ranked ahead of Denver at 19 with only two points separating the two teams at 165 points, and DU’s next opponent Virginia Tech (March 7) fell to 24th. Stanford, who the Pioneers defeated in week one (12-9), jumped seven spots into 18th and earned 170 points. Another BIG EAST team, Georgetown (April 4), enters the rankings this week at 25th with a 4-1 record, making six teams that DU has played or will play that are ranked.
