Women's Lacrosse Adds Ladouceur as Assistant Coach

Aug. 17, 2017

DENVER-  University of Denver head women's lacrosse coach Liza Kelly announced Thursday that Theresa "Tee" Ladouceur has been named the program's new assistant coach.

"I am beyond excited for Tee to join the Pioneer Family!" said Kelly. "I have enjoyed competing against her for the past two years and I am incredibly impressed with her offensive strategies and coaching style. I know Tee is the right coach to help this program become an NCAA fixture."

No stranger to the University of Denver and the women's lacrosse program, Ladouceur previously served as the head coach at UC Davis for the past two seasons, where, in her first season, led the Aggies to their first conference tournament appearance since 2010.  Under her leadership, two players earned All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation recognition, and eight were named MPSF All-Academic, which tied a program best.

"I'd really like to thank Liza Kelly for giving me the opportunity to be a part of a great institution and athletics program with such an astounding lacrosse culture," said Ladouceur. "I have a lot of respect for Coach Kelly and her vision for the program.  I can't wait to get started with her and (assistant coach) Hannah (Hook) to help DU make strides within the BIG EAST and beyond.

"I'm truly grateful for the past few seasons at UC Davis and proud of the Aggies for their hard work, dedication and overall character as young women. I wish them the best of luck in the upcoming season."

Prior to her time in Davis, Ladouceur coached at Albany from 2013 to 2015, overseeing the offense.  In her role with the Great Danes, she mentored two America East Offensive Players of the Year, one conference Player of the Year and five first-team all-conference midfielders and attackers.

She also served as the head coach at Bethlehem Central High School, her alma mater, for one season, and was an assistant coach/acting head coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).

Ladouceur played attack collegiately at Syracuse University, where she graduated in 2011 with a bachelor of science degree. In her three-year career with the Orange, she scored 130 goals with 112 assists in 68 games, adding 45 ground balls, 34 draw controls and 36 caused turnovers. In her senior year, she led the team in goals (38) and ranked second in scoring with 57 points. She made the IWLCA All-America Third Team and All-Northeast Region first team in 2010 and was one of just 48 players named to the Tewaaraton Award List in 2011. Ladouceur also garnered All-BIG EAST distinction in each of her junior and senior years. She began her collegiate career at Albany, where she ranked second on the team in goals, points and caused turnovers, and was twice named America East Rookie of the Week in 2008.

Her primary role with the Pioneers will be as an offensive coordinator, replacing Matt Lawicki.

"We are grateful for the years that Matt served with our program," stated Kelly. "He made a profound impact on our program and left the program in great hands."
