DENVER— The University of Denver women’s lacrosse team has added a transfer to its 2018 roster in sophomore midfielder Molly Little, who comes to DU from the University of Vermont.
Hailing from Tiverton, R.I., the 5-8 player is one that can have an immediate presence for the Pioneers, said head coach Liza Kelly.
“Molly is a fast and talented player that will add depth to our midfield. Her hardworking, relentless attitude will fit right in with the Pioneers.”
In her lone year with the Catamounts, Little played 16 games, starting in 10. In that time, she scored six goals and was credited with seven assists. She recorded the third-most ground balls (23) and won the fourth-most draw controls (17) on the team, and had a pair of multi-goal games. Her efforts earned her America East All-Rookie Team honors.
Little was a three-sport athlete prior to college, playing basketball and lacrosse and running cross country at Tabor Academy (Mass.). She earned U.S. Lacrosse All-American status for the Eastern Massachusetts region in 2016, served as team captain during the 2016 season, and was named the lacrosse team MVP in 2015 and 2016. Little was an NEPSAC All-Star in lacrosse in 2015 and cross country in 2014.
