FARGO, N.D. -- The University of Denver women's soccer team and North Dakota State split the points after a 0-0 draw on Friday night at Dacotah Field, keeping Denver unbeaten in Summit League play.

With the results on Friday, Denver took the top spot in the Summit League table on goal difference, and the Pioneers have a game in hand on North Dakota State who is level with Denver on 10 points.

“As far as the game goes it was a little bit of bend but don't break,” head coach Jeff Hooker, who coached his 500th women’s match on Friday, said. “I felt we allowed them a lot of possession in the second overtime but I’m proud of our team for getting a result on the road. We’ve earned seven of nine points on the road, including four points against two opponents that are usually in the top four in the league. We find ourselves in a pretty favorable spot in that respect. We’re looking forward to the upcoming run of home matches.”

Hooker is now 325-133-42 with the women's program in his career.

Senior goalkeeper Cassidy Rey (Arcadia, Calif.) and freshman Brittany Wilson (Littleton, Colo.) combined for the Pioneers' (6-7-1, 3-0-1 Summit) third shutout in the last four matches, making two and three saves in the first and second half, respectively.

North Dakota State (8-6-1, 3-1-1 Summit) outshot the Pioneers 16-4 on the night, but the Pioneers defense limited the quality of those chances, allowing just the five shots on goal.
