Denver Women’s Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

DENVER – The University of Denver women’s soccer team has announced its six-match spring schedule, including three games at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium, head coach Jeff Hooker announced Tuesday.

The Crimson and Gold have already started this spring season with a road trip up to Fort Collins, Colo., on Saturday, February 25th. Denver played a total of six matches, each 25 minutes long with a running clock. The Pioneers ended the day as Champions of the CSU Indoor tournament where they beat Northern Colorado 1-0 in the final game.

Denver’s first home game was set to be this coming weekend on Friday, March 2nd against the Air Force Academy. That match has been rescheduled for a date to be determined in April.  

The spring season continues as the Pioneers plan to host UNC and CSU on Saturday, April 14th. The games are set to kick off at 11a.m. and 1p.m. DU will battle against UNC first.

Another road trip is on the schedule as the Crimson and Gold will travel to Grand Junction, Colo. Denver will play at Colorado Mesa April 21st and 22nd.  

enver will end its 2018 spring season as it host its Annual Alumni game on Saturday, April 28th at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.

Student-Athlete Alumni Giving Challenge:
In 2017-18, the University of Denver is holding an alumni giving challenge in an effort to increase student-athlete alumni participation in the Denver Athletics Annual Fund. The sport program with the highest percentage of alumni participation will receive an additional $10,000 of support through the generosity of an anonymous donor. Former student-athletes can make a gift online, by calling 303-871-2388 during normal business hours or by sending a check to: Athletics Development Office
