Adler and Wilson Named to Summit League Academic Team
Denver sophomore duo earns academic recognition from the league office

ELMHURST, Ill. (Summit) – With the conclusion of the #SummitWSOC season, The Summit League has announced its Academic All-League Team as voted by the institution's faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors. A total of 13 student-athletes were named to the team and honored for their academic and athletic performances this season.
Tournament champion Denver, tournament runner-up North Dakota State, South Dakota, Fort Wayne and Western Illinois each placed two honorees on the team. Regular season champion South Dakota State, Oral Roberts and Omaha each received one honor.
Two student-athletes are making their second straight appearance on the prestigious team: Sammie Villwock of South Dakota and Tori Poole of South Dakota State. Three #SummitWSOC players own perfect 4.00 GPA’s: Ines Palmiero Herrera (Western Illinois), Sammie Villwock (South Dakota) and Lindsay Yankasky (Fort Wayne).
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions. The #SummitWSOC all-league team is made up of the 11 student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
