The DU women’s tennis team improved to 2-1 on the 2017 season on Friday night, defeating New Mexico by a score of 6-1 at the Denver Country Club. The Lady Pioneers went 2-0 in doubles play and 4-1 in their singles matches in laying claim to victory in their home opener, with three singles wins coming in straight sets.

After wins by the doubles teams of Slattery/O’Loughlin & Mboko/Radosevic put DU up 1-0 on Friday, sophomore Pio Bianca Mok turned in a stellar singles performance to double the hosts’ advantage, downing UNM’s Dominique Dulski by a score of 6-1, 6-0.
