Feb. 10, 2017
The DU women’s tennis team wraps up its three-match homestand on Saturday afternoon at 4pm vs. BYU at the Colorado Athletic Club (Monaco). Denver won both of its home matches last weekend vs. New Mexico (6-1) and Colorado (6-1) and is now 3-1 on the 2017 season. Brigham Young is coming off of a 4-3 loss to Missouri and is now 1-1 on the season. In 2016, DU defeated BYU by a score of 4-3 in Provo. The Lady Pioneers also emerged victorious from the teams’ 2015 showdown, earning a 5-2 home win. Earlier this week, several Lady Pioneers appeared on the latest Oracle/ITA rankings, including the 6-0 doubles team of Maureen Slattery & Julia O’Loughlin who moved up into the Top 10 nationally. The Cougars’ top doubles team Natella Nabieva & Polina Malykh also enter this weekend undefeated, currently in possession of a 2-0 record.
