Pioneers Set for Two Matches in Utah

The University of Denver Pioneers (4-2, 0-0) are set to take on BYU on Friday, Feb. 16 and the Utah Utes on Saturday, Feb. 17.

The Pioneers enter this weekend following two consecutive sweeps last weekend against Utah State and Boise State at the Colorado Athletic Club - Monaco. Denver is led by senior Julia O’Loughlin and junior Bianca Mok who each have five wins on the singles courts and have combined for a 3-1 record at No. 1 doubles. O’Loughlin was recently named Summit League Player of the Week after posting a 2-0 mark on the singles and doubles courts last weekend. Freshman Camille Verden-Anderson has headlined the group of newcomers with a 4-1 record at No. 6 singles.

Friday’s match is set to begin at 12 p.m. MT. Saturday’s match is scheduled for 11 a.m. MT.


The University of Denver is holding an alumni giving challenge for the 2017-2018 season in an effort to increase student-athlete alumni participation in the Denver Athletics Annual Fund. The sport with the highest percentage of alumni participation will receive an additional $10,000 of support through the generosity of an anonymous donor.
