O'Loughlin Named Summit League Player of the Week

University of Denver Pioneers (5-3, 0-0) senior Julia O’Loughlin has been named Summit League Player of the Week for her performance from Feb. 13-19, the Summit League announced on Tuesday.

O’Loughlin posted a 2-0 record at No. 1 singles and a 1-1 record at No. 1 doubles last weekend against BYU and Utah. The victories moved O’Loughlin to 7-1 in singles play and 5-2 in doubles play.

On Friday, O’Loughlin defeated Mayci Jones of BYU, 7-5, 6-2, then joined Mok in a 7-5 victory on the doubles court. On Saturday, O’Loughlin came from behind to defeat Alexia Petrovic of Utah, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4, before falling in doubles play.

The weekly honor marks the third for O’Loughlin this season and eighth of her career.
