Denver Set for 70th Blue Gray National Tennis Classic

The University of Denver Pioneers (5-3, 0-0) are set to continue their season at the 70th Blue Gray National Tennis Classic from Feb. 23 - 25 in Montgomery, Alabama.

Denver joins No. 31 Alabama, No. 26 Auburn, No. 5 Illinois, UAB, Utah, No. 10 Wake Forest and Yale in the tournament and is set to open play against No. 26 Auburn on Feb. 23 at 11:30 a.m. MT. Last season, the Pioneers topped Texas, 4-3, at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic.

No. 43 Julia O’Loughlin and No. 119 Bianca Mok will lead Denver on the singles courts and the doubles courts, where the duo ranks No. 37 in the country. Mok was recognized as a Blue Gray National Tennis Classic Player to Watch.


The University of Denver is holding an alumni giving challenge for the 2017-2018 season in an effort to increase student-athlete alumni participation in the Denver Athletics Annual Fund. The sport with the highest percentage of alumni participation will receive an additional $10,000 of support through the generosity of an anonymous donor.
