Denver to Face Cal Poly in First Round of NCAA Tournament
This will mark the third meeting against the Mustangs for the Pioneers

DENVER-- After winning The Summit League regular season and tournament titles and compiling an overall record of 23-5, the University of Denver women's volleyball team was selected as the No. 3 seed in the UCLA sub-region of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday night.
DU will face Cal Poly on Friday, Dec . 1 at 6:30 p.m. MT. The other teams in the bracket are host UCLA, who received the No. 15 national seed, and Austin Peay.
The Pioneers' current RPI (55) is the highest RPI in program history, which earned them a No. 3 seed in the Westwood field.
Denver has made the tournament the last four years, previously facing Stanford, Washington and Colorado State in the first round. The Pioneers have played the Mustangs twice before, falling to Cal Poly both times by the score of 3-1, with the last time being Sept. 11, 2009.
